Every semester, students who can claim that they have Jewish or Islamic reasons for needing to eat in Kosher Halal Co-op are permitted to circumvent the OSCA wait list and join Kosher Halal Co-op immediately upon thoughtful completion of a co-op application. These reasons do not need to be religious or dietary, and students of religion may conceivably have legitimate Jewish or Islamic reasons. If you believe you should be allowed into Kosher Halal Co-op because of Jewish or Islamic reasons, please fill out and return this application to the OSCA office.
1) What are your Jewish or Islamic reasons for needing to join Kosher Halal Co-op?
2) How do you expect the co-op to serve your Jewish or Islamic needs?
3) Are you willing to accept the special obligations of being a member of a co-op that is strictly Kosher? You will be expected to observe all rules of Kashrut within the co-op, Shabbat rules, holidays, and preparation for Passover. (You will be taught the rules upon joining the co-op.) How do you feel about working in this kind of environment?
4) What would you like to gain from your Kosher Halal Co-op experience?
